I love laughing with my students! Every morning we journal about different off the wall prompts. It's so fun seeing what a great sense of humor kids can have at this age and seeing a pattern to their writing ideas. Chase somehow incorporates a potato into almost every story he writes. 
It's to the point where we, his fellow listeners, can chorally respond, "And there it is...." :) Dalton loves turning every story into something that has to do with COD (Call of Duty) or Ben Affleck. Even his spelling sentences have led to Ben Affleck dressing like a pretty woman. Brock and Michael both like to write about how our world will soon succumb to a zombie apocalypse......(it's a very popular idea for 5th and 6th graders). 
Lennon is the student who I foresee being one of those voiceovers in a movie trailer. The boy definitely adds voice and character to his stories, sometimes adding sound effects that leave the class rolling in laughter. Faithann loves writing stories with food as the characters. The characters names always begin with the letter of the food.
